Abstract:
The mesoporous SiO2 with P2O5 hybrid in the pore walls (m-PH-SiO2) with higher surface 386m2•g-1 was synthesized by sol-gel method. The m-PH-SiO2/ Nafion composite membranes were prepared by recasting method with m-PH-SiO2 and Nafion dimethyl formamide solution. The proton conductivities of the membranes at 30oC ~200oC were measured by AC impedance technique. The results show that the conductivities of m-PH-SiO2/ Nafion membranes were higher than that of Nafion recasting membrane prepared under the same condition. The effect on proton conductivity and methanol permeability of filler content were studied, the result revealed that the optimal quantity of filled m-PH-SiO2 was 7%. However, the permeability of methanol increased appreciably with increasing of filled m-PH-SiO2.
