Abstract: |
A polyamide reverse osmosis composite membrane with high flux was prepared via interfacial polymerization on the polysulphone ultrafiltration membrane. The influence of 1,3-dimethyl-2-imidazoline ketone (DMI) on the structure and performance of polyamide reverse osmosis membrane was studied. The surface morphology of polyamide reverse osmosis membrane was characterized by SEM and AFM, and the structure of membrane was analyzed by ATR-FTIR, the hydrophilic was evaluated by the contact angle meter. The separation performance of the membrane, water flux and salt rejection, were evaluated under operating pressure of 145 Psi using 500 ppm sodium chloride solution. The results indicated that DMI could effectively control the surface morphology of polyamide reverse osmosis membrane, to dramatically enhance the water flux of membrane without decrease the salt rejection. |
