Abstract:
 Three-dimensional numerical simulation of horizontal tube falling film characteristics were carried out on liquid distributors with different hole spacing. VOF method was used to track the free surface of gas-liquid interface.The axial spreading length of liquid film outside the tube、the distributions of film thickness at different circumferential angles were analyzed. Results show that Re=322, axial liquid film spread evenly when liquid distributor hole spacing s = 8mm; the corresponding axial spreading average distance of liquid film is 8.31mm When s = 15mm; liquid film thickness is the smallest when z1 = 50% Z 、s = 8mm. According to the results of liquid film axial spreading and circumferential thickness distribution, it is advisable to adopt 8mm spacing between liquid holes.
