Abstract: |
In this paper, HCl-VMT, HBr-VMT and HI-VMT membranes are constructed based on acidolysis of octahedral structure in VMT lamellar framework. The effects of acid treatment on the morphology, stability in water and mass transfer performance of the VMT membranes are investigated. The results show that the acid-modified VMT membranes remain intact and regular 2D channels, and uniformly distributed elements. Acid-modified VMT membrane has extraordinary long-term stability in water phase, and the water vapor diffusion flux increases from 0.16 mol/(h·m2·kPa) of the blank VMT membrane to about 10 times, respectively. This paper provides a new strategy for the application study of preparing stable VMT membranes in the field of ion stable transport and separation. |
